At Université Paris Cité, the Professional Bachelor's degree in Materials Analysis, AnaMat, trains students for careers as senior technicians or assistant engineers specializing in the field of physical techniques for materials analysis. This program is nationally affiliated with the "Chemistry and Physics of Materials" specialization ( RNCP file no. 30053 ).

This work-study program is offered in partnership with CFA AFI 24. It focuses on solid materials such as metals, ceramics, plastics, and glass ; as well as so-called "  complex  " fluids such as foams and emulsions.

The analytical techniques we consider allow us to characterize the structure of these materials at different spatial scales using radiation diffraction/scattering methods and imaging methods such as optical, electron, Raman, or atomic force microscopy. Students also learn to characterize certain properties such as optical, thermal, mechanical, or rheological properties.

Our teaching team comprises physics professors and researchers, as well as recognized professionals in the fields of materials and analytical techniques, with strong involvement in industry or research. Learning is both theoretical and practical, supplemented by lectures from industry professionals and site visits to laboratories or instrumental platforms. The majority of the university courses take place over 18 weeks in the Condorcet building, located on the Paris Rive Gauche campus of Université Paris Cité.

After selection, the Anamat degree welcomes students from diverse backgrounds who have validated a degree in physics or materials science at the bac+2 (L2) level at university or who hold a BTS or a DUT in the fields of measurement, plastics and composites, materials processing, physical techniques for industry and laboratory, foundry, ceramic industries or surface treatments
