  • To equip participants with the skills and confidence to contribute to cognate peer reviewed journals.
  • Conduct a piece of social research in an area of social work practice teaching and/or
  • Undertake a literature review, methodology, analysis of data and presentation of findings.
  • Connect primary research data with theoretical debates and concepts
  • Identify any original contribution which their research makes to the development of practice

Admission Requirements

To progress to the MA applicants must have:

  • Successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Fieldwork Practice and Supervision [Social Work].
  • Submit a draft research proposal,
  • Provide one academic reference.
