The ability of an engineer to convert technological advances into useful systems and devices for the benefit of society has impacted hugely on improving the levels of comfort, quality of life, and life expectancy in modern society.

As a UCC Engineering BE (Hons) student you will follow a common first-year programme that provides a broad education in the fundamentals of engineering. At the end of first year you then choose your preferred engineering pathway from one of the following routes:

Energy Engineering
Process and Chemical Engineering

In third year you choose whether to continue with the BE (Hons) programme or apply to transfer to the Master of Engineering programme (MEngSc).
