Two components of the course are Theory and Practical based. In this programme theory papers, History of mankind write from Prehistory to Historical period are covered and taught in class hours in various Semesters according to the chronology. At the same time the get field training in the form of exploration and excavation. In exploration students are taken to archaeological site ranging from Prehistoric to Historical period and taught how to identify artefacts, reading ancient script and understanding the architectural remains. The students are taken to archaeological site and they stay in the site for a duration of 30 days, during this period they involve themselves in the excavation and thereby learn the techniques how to conduct an excavation independently. Tourism subject is also taught in the classroom and this enable the student to choose Tourism as their discipline for future endeavors and livelihood.
