1. develops understanding of the major concepts and principles in Biochemistry. 

2. have an awareness of how bio- molecules, metabolic pathways, regulated expression, cells and organs interact in a co-ordinated manner to maintain life.

3. will be able to operate and explain the theoretical basis of common instruments used in a biochemical laboratory and perform important biochemical, immunological and simple molecular biology techniques and understand the concepts behind the advanced molecular biology techniques

5. gain insight to perform and report routine investigations in hematology and biochemistry
