Our Master of Arts (Writing) has been created to meet the needs of experienced writers who want to extend to develop their technical and critical skills. You will study writing practices across a range of forms and genres, including fiction, speechwriting, corporate writing and theatre. You will also create, critically revise, edit and publish your works in a simulated industry environment, under the guidance of writing professionals. In the second half the degree, students undertake a major writing project -- developing an original work from creative concept to completed manuscript. This course also meets the professional development needs of high school English teachers seeking to address the challenge posed by an expanded creative writing component in the new English HSC.
