Our International Economics MSc combines the study of core areas of modern economics with a solid foundation in the economics of interactions between countries, focused on international trade and finance. You will also learn the analytic and quantitative methods required to understand the economics of international trade and finance.

The centre studies the causes and consequences of globalisation and its researchers have advised the Treasury, the World Bank and the World Trade Organization.

You will take specialist core modules and choose from a range of options that will strengthen your skills for examining international economic issues. You will also receive one-to-one guidance to enable you to complete your research project.

2:1 (or international equivalent) in a discipline with significant economics content, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics and econometrics modules. We also require some sort of economics mathematics content. Generally, this is found in modules such as calculus, linear algebra, economics mathematics, or quantitative economics.
