Our course explores the relationship between humans and the environment. You'll develop the skills to tackle environmental problems and deliver a sustainable future.

Our integrated masters course enables you to extend your knowledge of environmental science further to develop your skills in communications, project management and research.

We need scientists to respond to some of the biggest environmental challenges:

  • climate change
  • biodiversity loss of species and habitat
  • environmental pollution
Study a wide range of subjects including geography and biology with the flexibility to specialise in your area of interest.

All environmental sciences students will complete fieldwork and gain practical skills. This real-world experience allows you to apply your knowledge and develop the skills which are in demand by the environmental sector.

  • A level: ABB
  • Required subjects: ABB including a science-based A Level such as Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Geography, Economics, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Geology and Statistics. GCSE mathematics and English at grade 4 (C). or above are required
  • Excluded subjects: Citizenship studies, critical thinking, science and society, general studies and leisure studies not accepted.
  • IB score: 30 points overall or 655 in 3 HL certificates
  • IB requirements: 5HL in 1 of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Geography, Psychology, Environmental Systems and Societies.
