Accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, our course aims to inspire you through the study of animals (including humans) at every level, from their DNA right up to their role in ecosystems.

A range of optional modules taught by leaders in their field will allow you to tailor the course to your interests. It is possible to switch to an integrated four-year master's course (MSci), depending on your grades in the second year.

A level: AAB
Required subjects: A level - AAB including biology and a second science at A level. A pass is required in science practical tests, where these are assessed separately. Due to the disruption to examinations in 2020/2021, if you completed your A levels during this time we would waive the requirement for a pass in the practical.
Excluded subjects: General Studies, Critical Thinking, Global Perspectives, Research Thinking Skills.
GCSE: GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above are also required.
IB score: 32 points overall or 6,6,5 in three HL certificates
IB requirements: HL6, HL5 in biology and a second science in any order
