Admission Requirements

Students should hold a bachelor?s or master?s degree in a field related to natural resources, such as forestry, or in a relevant discipline of the natural or social sciences, such as biology, chemistry, economics, or mathematics. They should have a writing sample of 20-50 words. Students are required to demonstrate, besides proficiency in German, a reading knowledge of one other foreign language by the beginning of the third term of study. French is recommended, although occasionally, on consultation with the director of graduate studies (DGS), other relevant languages may be substituted. The GRE General Test is required but Subject Tests are optional. They should also have a TOEFL score of at least 100 on the internet-based test, a PTE Academic score of at least 70 or an IELTS score of at least 7. There is no minimum score for GRE or GMAT.
