Islamic Economics Program Goals:

  • Providing evaluative economic studies that represent realistic solutions to contemporary economic issues.
  • Graduating specialized cadres, in the field of economics and Islamic economics, who are able to keep abreast of economic and financial developments in order to meet the needs of economic development and the labor market locally and globally in research and professional fields through innovation and purposeful analysis.
  • Developing the skills of applied practice of scientific research among students in the field of economics, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development and creating advanced skills with a precise specialization.


Islamic Economics Program Requirements:

  • Conditions for admission to the program: They are the general conditions for admission to postgraduate studies stipulated in Articles (15-21) of the Unified Regulations for Postgraduate Studies in Saudi Universities, and their executive rules and organizational procedures approved by the Islamic University, in addition to the special conditions set by the department.
  • Passing the academic courses and completing the thesis.
  • Passing the complementary courses if the department decides to study them for the student.
  • The student must pass the comprehensive examination for the doctoral stage.
  • Any other conditions deemed necessary by the department.
