Program Goals:

  1. Qualifying specialized scientific personnel in the judiciary and related fields such as arbitration, documentation, enforcement, investigation, public prosecution, advocacy, judicial consultations, and teaching, and qualifying students to assume the position of judge and notary public, and raising the efficiency of judges and notaries public enrolled in the program, to keep pace with the development of the judiciary and contribute to its development.
  2. To enrich the students enrolled in the program – scientifically and practically – in the field of law and its applications.
  3. Interest in scientific research in the field of law, and researching and studying judicial cases in a fundamental scientific manner.
  4. Contributing to meeting the needs of the local and global community in the fields of specialization.
  5. The integration of postgraduate programs in the Department of Judicial Studies, and enabling outstanding students with master’s degrees, and lecturers to continue their studies at the higher academic level (PhD) within the university.

Admission Requirements

  1. The admission requirements for the program are the general admission requirements for postgraduate studies stipulated in Articles (15-21) of the Unified Regulations for Postgraduate Studies in Saudi Universities, and its executive rules and organizational procedures approved at the Islamic University, in addition to the special conditions set by the department.
  2. Passing the coursework and completing the thesis.
  3. Passing supplementary courses if the department decides that the student must study them.
  4. The student must pass the comprehensive examination for the PhD stage.
  5. Any other conditions deemed necessary by the department.
