  1. The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree (regular) from a Saudi academic body or an accredited university in the field of physics or one of its branches (the department council can make an exception to this based on the applicant’s academic record), with a cumulative grade point average of no less than (3.50 out of 5). Or (2.50 out of 4).
  2. The applicant must obtain a minimum score of (65) on the analogy test or a score of (265) on the GRE General test, provided that the result is valid; Not exceeding five years from the date of the test.
  3. The applicant must obtain a minimum score of (450) in the TOEFL-PBT test, or (45) in the TOEFL-PBT test. TOEFL-IBT or (4) in the IELTS test or (60) in the STEP test or its equivalent, and it must not have been more than two years since obtaining the English language certificate. The department may accept students without this condition if one of the following conditions applies to them: - The student must have the nationality of an English-speaking country. - The student must submit a certificate stating that his studies during the bachelor’s degree were in English. - The student must pledge to submit the language certificate during the first year of his studies in the master’s program, and the student will bear the consequences of not submitting the certificate and not being awarded the academic degree.
  4. The applicant must submit a Statement of Purpose letter.
