The Department of Mathematics was established in 1433 AH as one of the departments of the Faculty of Science at the Islamic University. Since then, the department has embarked on a journey of scientific research and development. The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program has received full accreditation (2024-2027) from the NCAAA. The department keeps pace with developments in the educational process and the future vision for developing and restructuring educational programs.
Program Mission:
Preparing qualified cadres in mathematics and its applications to meet the needs of the labor market within the framework of a scientific and research environment that supports innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Knowledge and Understanding:
- Outline the fundamental concepts of mathematics
- Recognize mathematical theorems and their implementation
- Describe applications of mathematics in science and engineering

- Differentiate between axioms and theorems

Admission Requirements
- Earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics requires completing 139 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 out of 5.00.
- The program is taught through a coursework system, requiring the completion of 139 units, including: 17 units of university requirements, 37 units of college requirements, and 85 units of major requirements (63 units of required courses, 15 units of elective courses, and 7 units of courses from other departments and colleges). These units are distributed across eight academic years.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
