The specific mission of the study program in question is to train staff with in-depth knowledge of Informatics and Information Technology, able to design and develop programs for their use in the socioeconomic environment, and who can continue either to pursue doctoral studies or to integrate into educational, research, development, and production units. The objectives pursued are to transmit to the students the knowledge needed for advanced training in Informatics with various applications. The study program also allows them to acquire efficient methods, models, and algorithms that are efficient in terms of time complexity for solving difficult problems in technical and scientific fields.

Knowledge transmitted:

  1. Development of theoretical concepts and practical methods targeting programming paradigm;
  2. Use of specialized knowledge to explain and interpret new situations, in broader contexts associated with a specific scientific or technological field;
  3. Development of professional and/or research projects, inventively using a varied spectrum of quantitative and qualitative methods;
  4. Self-control of the learning process, diagnosis of training needs, and reflective analysis of one's professional activity.
The transmitted skills are: Use of specialized software/program packages; Nuanced and pertinent use of evaluation criteria and methods, to formulate valued judgments and substantiate constructive decisions; Applying rigorous and efficient work rules, demonstrating responsible attitudes towards the scientific and technological field, for the optimal and creative use of one's potential in specific situations, while respecting the principles and norms of professional ethics; Efficient use of information sources and communication and training resources, both in Romanian and an internationally spoken language and their application in the relevant disciplines. Developed transversal skills: curiosity; scientific rigor; rapid analysis of information; information synthesis; adaptability; teamwork; organizing and managing priorities; improving relationships, and written and oral communication.
