Management of Environmental Protection in Industry

Programme overview

Main Subject

Engineering - General

Degree

MEng

Study Level

Masters

Study Mode

On Campus

The study program ensures future specialists who are competent both in terms of modern environmental requirements and in terms of organizing experimental activities and laboratory methods used in monitoring environmental factors. In addition to all this, good knowledge of managerial activity is also added.
Thus, master's students acquire skills for:
- Scientific management of pollutants resulting from any technological process (mechanical or chemical), their identification, offering technical solutions for their reduction, oxidation, transformation or neutralization; - Knowledge and application of physical measurement principles in environmental protection laboratories; - Knowledge of the main measuring devices, instruments and installations in the field; - Understanding the complex system (air, water, soil) in which pollutants can be found, innovation and creation of new technologies for their analysis; - Application of modern concepts, theories and methods in terms of processes and equipment for purifying the atmosphere, water and soil; - Formation of the capacity to synthesize scientific and technical information in the appropriate fields of analysis, from the point of view of environmental protection; - Formation of the appropriate skills for the study, research and design of solutions, possibilities and new models that are economically and ecologically efficient; - Maintenance and operation of laboratory apparatus, equipment and installations; - Knowledge of the fundamental methods for investigating pollutants in water, air, soil; - Monitoring of depollution processes; - Process analysis, modeling, simulation and identification of pollution processes; - Application and interpretation of scientific principles, specific rules and regulations in environmental engineering; - Ability to identify, formulate, explain environmental problems and to propose and interpret coherent solutions to solve them; - Design of environmental quality analysis and monitoring systems.
