The Sport and Motor Performance bachelor's degree program, offered by the Faculty of Movement, Sports, and Health Sciences at “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, is an accredited 3-year full-time program (180 ECTS credits).
The main goal of the program is to train specialists in physical education and sports, capable of designing, planning, and assessing sports training and physical activity programs.
Students acquire key competencies such as:
- Designing and implementing sports training programs
- Assessing physical development and motor performance
- Using modern technologies in sports training processes
- Promoting an active and healthy lifestyle within communities
The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical subjects, such as:
- Kinesiology
- Functional Anatomy
- Physiology of Physical Effort
- Theory and Practice of Sports (athletics, gymnastics, team sports, water and winter sports)
- Psychology of Motor Activities
- Methodology of Sports Training
- Sports Management and Marketing
- Health Education and First Aid
Students take part in internships at sports training centers and participate in sports events, giving them the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.
Graduates of the program can pursue careers such as:
- Sports coaches in various disciplines
- Fitness and recreational activity instructors
- Specialists in motor performance evaluation and development
- Sports and physical activity managers
- Sports advisors in public and private institutions
The faculty provides:
- Modern classrooms and specialized laboratories
- Indoor sports halls for different disciplines
- Outdoor sports fields
- A dedicated practical training base in Vatra Dornei for specific sports activities
- Access to digital resources and specialized libraries
