The mission of the Informatics study program, with a scientific research component and a didactic component, consists of: 1. Training teachers necessary for Informatics education in Romania and especially in the region, at a level compatible with that of the EU. 2. Training specialists with competencies in Informatics, having a multidisciplinary training base, who can work in different systems (IT departments, private firms, banks, national and local administration, economic organizations, enterprises, etc.). 3. Creating, capitalizing, and disseminating knowledge obtained through scientific research in the field of Informatics, or support research in computational sciences. To achieve this mission, the objectives of the study program are the following: 1. Training students of the Informatics study program in solid professional skills, following the requirements of the labor market 2. Achieving high-performance standards in the specialized training of students 3. Developing in students an active attitude towards their continuous professional training, the formation of sustainable transversal skills; 4. Educating and training future Informatics teachers for pre-university education, in the spirit of professional responsibility. Developed transversal skills: curiosity; scientific rigor; rapid analysis of information; information synthesis; adaptability; teamwork; organizing and managing priorities; improving relationships, and written and oral communication.
