This course will help you to become one of the real estate surveyors of the future, equipped with the knowledge, tools and skills to operate efficiently and effectively. You will gain a detailed understanding of real estate, alongside undertaking an expert analysis of the processes of its ownership, development, occupation, valuation and management. You’ll also examine economics and finance, property valuation and management, development, construction, urban planning and law, ensuring you are equipped with the attributes you’ll need to be successful. The course integrates technological, financial, legal and management issues. You will apply theory and practice to a range of real-life case studies, helping you understand the complex world of property. You will benefit from regular site visits to enhance your learning experience, and talks from industry leaders will explain how to gain employment within the real estate world. It’s an exciting time to study in Birmingham – the city is undergoing huge regeneration. This means that there are many opportunities, now and in the future, for those working in the built environment. Also, in 2017, we are spending £8.7 million on improvements to our Millennium Point facilities so you’ll have even more access to dedicated, industry-standard equipment.
