The teachings of the university master's degree in Humanistic and Social Studies of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU are aimed at the acquisition by the student of an advanced multidisciplinary training aimed at promoting their initiation in research tasks within the field of humanities and sciences social.
The subjects that make up the university master's degree in Humanistic and Social Studies are designed to provide the student with a deep, precise and open vision of the great philosophical and cultural problems in the light of classical thought, particularly Saint Thomas Aquinas.
The teaching approach responds to the intention of training students especially in order to research, provoking in them an autonomous reflection that moves them to creatively pose the questions appropriate to each area.
Familiarization with the handling of the bibliography and sources in general, the ability to diagnose a state of the question, as well as the ability to rationally argue in favor of a certain position are the three axes on which teaching is organized.
In addition, personalized tutoring is carried out aimed at the subsequent preparation of the doctoral thesis.
