Our Faculty of Health Sciences is committed to active student learning through clinical simulation .

We have an Advanced Clinical Simulation Center equipped with the highest technology for the practice of specific procedures without risk to the patient, as well as for the training of clinical and communication skills in consultations.

3. The profession in the classroom

Because learning to be a good doctor requires being in contact from the first year with the best medical professionals. That is why doctors who work every day in hospitals and health centers spend a few hours a week teaching our students. In order to bring the reality of the profession to the classroom.

For this reason, it is no coincidence that the Degree in Medicine of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University is one of the few in Spain that is advised and participated by the Foundation for the Training of the Collegiate Medical Organization (FFOMC). Said Foundation is the instrument that the Collegiate Medical Organization (OMC) has provided itself with to improve the training of doctors, which is especially significant if we consider that the Collegiate Medical Organization is the entity that brings together and coordinates all the Medical Associations from Spain. Thus, our Degree in Medicine has the training advice of the main professional entity of medicine and, in addition, has the direct participation of outstanding doctors of said entity in training through the "Medical Professionalism Seminars ".

4. MIR objective

With the support of the CTO group, you will receive training from the third year of your degree to prepare for the MIR exam (if your interest is to access the Spanish health system). Thus, when the time comes you will have many more possibilities to choose the specialty and the position you prefer. By the way, CTOs are, by far, the best MIR trainers in Spain.

5. A plus for your employability

Starting from the 3rd year, we offer you to take the University Diploma of Expert in Clinical and Diagnostic Medicine * for free, which aims to provide you with a clinical vision of the different medical specialties, as well as to strengthen the foundations of a correct clinical diagnosis, which It is essential to establish an adequate therapeutic plan.

* Obtaining the University Diploma of Specialization is conditional on obtaining the Degree in Medicine. If the student does not complete the Degree but does obtain the aforementioned Own Degree, they will obtain the Advanced Training Program in Clinical and Diagnostic Medicine.

6. The student in the center

The practical training of our medical students is reinforced by the two Advanced Medical Simulation Centers installed on our Campus. These are spaces equipped with the latest technology in hospital simulation that allow work on all kinds of clinical situations. These spaces are inspired by real places in any hospital, from rooms to operating rooms, and feature simulation robots as patients. The hours of work and learning in the Advanced Simulation Centers allow future doctors to improve their clinical and teamwork skills.

The National Conference of Deans of the Faculties of Medicine in Spain has accredited the OSCE test carried out by medical students at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University. This is a certification that the real clinical skills evaluation tests of the medical students of our Faculty conform to the most demanding standards of the Spanish university system.
