Programme Aims, Learning Outcomes and Characteristics
This programme aims to nurture well-rounded civil engineering graduates who are conversant in environmental, geotechnical, hydraulic, structural and transportation engineering, in addition to construction management. Graduates are able to plan, design, construct and manage interdisciplinary civil engineering projects incorporating complex commercial, environmental, social and legal considerations.
All admitted students embark on a Common Year One curriculum. After the first year of study, students can decide whether to continue with their initial choice or switch to another choice within the Faculty. Those who wish to switch can choose their preferred departmental scheme/programme through a ranking assessment.
