Preparation for an advanced degree in Forestry should include work equivalent to a B.S. in biological or environmental science, including courses in biology, botany, environmental science, ecology, hydrology, economics, and wood science. Major Requirements Complete all Graduate College and NREM Departmental requirements Areas of Specialization in Forestry: Administration and Management, Biology, Biometry, Economics and Marketing, Wood Science Statistics 401 (or equivalent) is required. Demonstration of competence in an area of specialization is defined by completion of: a) two cr. of Methods for Presenting Scientific Results (NREM 510), and b) two additional forestry courses at the 500 or 600 levels.
