If you’re interested in becoming a construction manager in the civil engineering and construction management industry, ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget and to a specified quality, this course is ideal. It combines an emphasis on management with grounding in the technical aspects of construction and civil engineering.

You’ll be introduced to the skills and concepts of engineering and construction. These include applied mathematics, science for construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), engineering drawing and construction management.

You’ll also consider materials, structures, computing applications, professional practice, sustainability, health and safety, soil mechanics and construction techniques, including practical surveying. You’ll work on model-making exercises and use computer-aided design to communicate your ideas effectively. Your individual project will be focused on research into a specialised subject.
