heart of Brisbane, a welcoming, modern and multicultural city. Brisbane is
Australia’s third largest city and known for its vibrant urban precincts,

283 days of sunshine each year. The city enjoys a subtropical climate with warm
summers averaging 30 degrees Celsius. Brisbane has very mild winters with
temperatures only dropping to a low of around 10 degrees Celsius.
Queensland has
beautiful national parks, hundreds of kilometres of beaches, tropical
rainforests, and the Great Barrier Reef. Just an hour south of Brisbane is the
famous Gold Coast with amazing beaches, amusement parks, and shopping while 1.5
hours north of Brisbane are the beautiful, quiet beaches of the Sunshine Coast.
Brisbane is within
easy travel distance of Australia's other major cities and attractions and is
just a short flight from great international travel destinations like New
Zealand, Bali, and South-East Asia.
QUT is an ambitious and collaborative institution
that seeks to equip our students and graduates with the skills they will need
in an increasingly disrupted and challenged world.
Your practical learning starts from your very first
semester at QUT, because we know employers today are looking for more than book
knowledge and know-how. You’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience
to learn crucial skills and QUT will support you with career and employability support to put you in charge of your
own future.
Amplifying entrepreneurship
QUT Entrepreneurship inspires and amplifies
opportunities for students, alumni and staff to realise their entrepreneurial
capabilities. By running development programs and connecting people with the

place to network with people from all areas of the university interested in the
world of entrepreneurship. You’ll have access to coaching and mentoring, be able
to make appointments with our ‘entrepreneurs in residence’ and receive invitations
to a range of events. QUT has more founders of start-ups than any other
university in Queensland and we’re ranked first for entrepreneurship and innovation
amongst all Australian universities. You can even add Entrepreneurship as a
university-wide minor.
Our alumni achieve great things
QUT graduates are making a real difference right across the world.
