The Integrative Genetics and Genomics program uniquely meets the need to combine classical molecular and cell biology knowledge with the ability to access and analyze large datasets. In other words, it offers a valuable combination of strengths in genomics and genetics to better prepare students for further education or careers in these growing areas.

The curriculum is built around two key pillars.
- The computational biology skill set required to access and process big datasets.
- The molecular biology knowledge base required to make better sense of the data.
Upon completion of your degree, students will have
- the ability to access, process and analyze large genomic datasets;
- a fluency in molecular biology and genetics; and
- an ability to disseminate technical information in a written and verbal format.
Graduates of the Integrative Genetics and Genomics program are prepared for positions in areas including academia, industry or government. They will also be well-prepared to continue their academic career at the graduate level at leading graduate and professional programs.
