Upon completing the program, the specialist in Gastronomy will:
• Understand and develop basic techniques for the preparation and serving of food • Differentiate cultures, ingredients, and cooking methods for each type of cuisine • Assist in planning and organizing the food service of an institution. • Understand the needs of the guests, in order to give realistic and satisfying solutions.
Upon completing the program, the participant will be able to:
- Detect training needs of staff involved in service institutions
- Assist in planning and organizing the area of foodservice in an institution
- Understand the needs of the guests, in order to give realistic and satisfactory solutions
- Monitor all aspects of food services, in order to identify problems, propose immediate solutions, and optimize processes
- Be willing to work in teams, to create a pleasant environment between managers and personnel within the institution services
- Participate in open decision-making
- Provide service, based on a deep understanding of the human being
