To train medical Bachelors who provide medical care with a spirit of service and community integration, who manage both public and private resources in response to the changing situation of the health system, the needs and expectations of society, through the analysis of the epidemiological context as well as their social commitment, basing their decisions on the available evidence, in order to identify, evaluate and apply timely therapeutic options to preserve health, limit the damage, avoid complications in the health and quality of life of the patient, in a humanistic ethical framework.

  • To accomplish a comprehensive clinical management that allows preserving or restoring the patient's health considering the biological, psychological and social aspects.
  • To apply and evaluate preventive and health promotion actions that allow controlling individual and collective health risks.
  • To promote community participation and the effective use of available resources for self-care in health.
  • To use theoretical, scientific, epidemiological and clinical knowledge in order to make medical decisions.
