This course combines philosophy with economics, taking an equal number of credits in each subject. The philosophy component consists of study units covering introduction to philosophy, logic, and realism and normativity, as well as undertaking an extended essay. Economics is based on a series of core courses in economics and econometrics, which span across three years. Students may choose a variety of optional units enabling them to study areas such as: environmental economicsglobalisation and developmentthe history of economic thoughtindustrial economicsinternational economicslabour economicsmacroeconomic theory and policy.
