The main branch of the Master's Degree Program falls under the Curriculum in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, partly taught in Italian and partly in English. This curriculum enables graduates to work in traditional sectors of computer engineering, such as information processing systems and software design, as well as in more innovative application fields including artificial intelligence and machine learning, industrial and service robotics, industrial automation systems, image acquisition and processing, and distributed systems. In addition to competencies in Computer Science and Control Engineering, the course of study includes a completion of studies in Electronics, Electronic Measurements, Telecommunications, and Electromagnetic Fields. Many courses involve project-based or laboratory experimental activities aimed at developing analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. Internships and thesis work in collaboration with Italian or foreign companies and institutions are strongly encouraged.
In addition to the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics track entirely conducted at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, the Master's Degree Program in Computer Engineering offers two additional international curricula, both taught in English, focusing on the sector of medical image analysis and processing:
- The Curriculum in MedicAl Imaging and Applications (MAIA) is a joint Master's Degree Program developed within the framework of the 'Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree' European project, delivered jointly with the Universitat de Girona (Spain) and the Université de Bourgogne (France). The objective is to build a professional profile with specific skills in technologies for automatic analysis of medical images (Medical Image Analysis) and computational support for diagnosis (Computer-Aided Diagnosis). Access to the MAIA curriculum is through a European Union call for applications, and the educational paths are based on student mobility among the participating institutions. This curriculum leads to a joint degree recognized by the nations where the universities belong. Alongside the three European universities, the Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP, Malaysia) also participates in the project as an associated partner. - The Curriculum in Medical Image Computing (MIC) is part of a dual-degree agreement with the Universitat de Girona (Spain) activated in the academic year 2021/22, requiring students to spend at least one year at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and at least one semester at the Universitat de Girona. The goal is to create a professional figure in Computer Engineering with specific competencies in computational analysis of medical images and e-health technologies. The dual-degree agreement recognizes:
1) The Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Curriculum in Medical Image Computing, awarded by the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.
2) The Master's Degree in 'Medical Image Computing' (see information at the link https://www.udg.edu/en/masters-en-tecnologia/computacio-dimatge-medica ) awarded by the Universitat de Girona.

Admission Requirements
The enrollment is subject to a preliminary assessment of the applicant's preparation. The required knowledge for admission includes, in addition to the core subjects (mathematics, physics, computer science) typical of engineering, those characterizing Computer Engineering, particularly focusing on basic knowledge of procedural and object-oriented programming, databases, computer system architecture, computer networks, and automatic controls. It is also desirable for the student to have a general understanding of signal theory and processing, electromagnetism, electronics, and electronic measurements. The level of English required for this program is CEFR B2 (upper intermediate). Students may enroll full-time or part-time: the duration of the program is two years for full-time students and four years for part-time students. Applicants may be of any nationality. For non-EU applicants, enrollment is subject to the immigration rules defined by the Italian government (consider that the MSc in Computer Engineering is a second-cycle degree program).
