The Master of Science program in Mechanical Engineering is taught in English and is aimed at Italian and foreign students who wish to undertake an international formation path which facilitates studies and experiences at an international level in the engineering field, with particular reference to Mechanical Engineering.
The Master of Science program in Mechanical Engineering trains a mechanical engineer with a preparation strongly aimed at design, through the use of the most recent innovations relating to mechanical design methodologies, choice of materials, new technologies, modern and advanced production systems, with particular reference to automation and process optimization, energy management and environmental preservation.
The program is aimed at training highly professional and competent technicians capable of entering both the production and research&development fields.
The specific training objectives of the MSc in Mechanical Engineering are focused, in compliance with current regulations, safety and the environment, on the development and application of advanced tools and models for:
• the design, prototyping, verification and testing of mechanical components and systems;
• the design, prototyping, verification and testing of energy components and systems;
• the design of processes and systems for 'smart production'.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements are automatically considered verified with the possession of a Bachelor Degree in the Industrial Engineering classes. Alternatively, the student must have acquired before enrolment a minimum number of 36 ECTS in the core courses’ sectors and 45ECTS in the elective courses’ sectors.
The adequacy of personal preparation is assessed on the basis of the Student's curriculum and is automatically considered verified:
- in the case of Bachelor degree obtained in a number of years equal to the number of foreseen years;
- in the case of Bachelor degree obtained with a final weighted average mark non lower than 27/30 (or equivalent in the case of foreign students);
- in the case of Bachelor degree obtained with a final weighted average mark higher than 25/30 (or equivalent in the case of foreign students) in a number of years not exceeding double the number of foreseen years.
In the case of Students graduated abroad, the verification of personal preparation is carried out by a committee through an admission exam or, alternatively, on the basis of the evaluation of documentation presented with the pre-admission application, consisting of:
1) passport;
2) provisional certificate;
3) the university transcript;
4) the curriculum vitae;
5) the motivation letter;
6) the certificate of proficiency in English;
7) n.2 recommendation letters (optional).
The Admission Committee evaluates candidates according to their proficiency and motivation.
Applicants are required to pay €10 EUR fee as evaluation rights.
Students not resident in the European Community will be able to proceed with visa request procedure only after having been pre-admitted to the course of study.
