The Bachelor's Degree Course in Management Engineering (L-09) adheres to the philosophy that characterizes the management field throughout Italy. It combines solid engineering foundations with multidisciplinarity and versatility, contributing to its success on a national scale. Its establishment was motivated by the need to create a clear educational path in the engineering-management field from high school to the workforce.
The course allows graduates to learn the fundamental technical aspects underlying the operation of a production facility, as well as the technologies applicable in organizations to improve productivity, safety, and quality. In addition to these common engineering industrial knowledge areas, the program includes managerial, economic, and statistical knowledge, enabling management engineering graduates to conduct technical-economic analyses and guide organizational investment decisions.
Distinguished from other programs in its field, this course has a notably "industrial" focus in its curriculum, designed to facilitate entry into the workforce within the local industry, showing a particular dedication to the industrial sector.
Prospective students must undergo an entrance test to evaluate their competencies in mathematics and English. In case of test failure, mandatory training obligations will be assigned, but enrollment is still possible.
The educational curriculum includes a solid foundation in basic subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science) aimed at creating the necessary foundations for engineering-focused courses. Among these are managerial-focused courses, complemented by distinctive courses in the mechanical and electrical engineering fields. The curriculum is rounded out by elective courses in economic and engineering subjects chosen by students. Courses leverage the laboratories of the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering. The program also aims to enhance students' language (technical English) and computer skills (professional use of spreadsheets).
Graduates in management engineering easily find employment in two main areas. Firstly, within production processes, typically in manufacturing or chemical companies, where their skills allow them to analyze processes, identify critical points, and plan interventions to optimize the use of production factors for improved efficiency, productivity, and output quality. Secondly, management engineers can effectively integrate into any type of organization (private or public, industrial or service-based) with tasks related to the analysis and optimization of organizational processes, technical-economic analysis of investment alternatives, organizational design, safety management, and management control.
The study program is completed with the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge through an internship in public or private organizations or one of the university's laboratories. The course also allows students to spend part of their studies abroad through the Erasmus+ programs, enabling them to attend courses at partner universities or experience an internship abroad.
The ideal continuation of the educational path is the Master's Degree Course in Management Engineering, delivered in Frosinone. The Management Engineering degree qualifies graduates to take the State Exam (Section B - junior) in industrial engineering or information engineering.

Admission Requirements
Enrolled students must possess adequate general requirements in the areas of basic scientific knowledge, verbal comprehension skills, and logical reasoning abilities. Specifically, it is essential to have basic competencies in Mathematics (arithmetic and algebra), including: Properties and operations on numbers (integers, rationals, reals); Absolute value; Powers and roots; Logarithms and exponentials; Literal calculation; Polynomials (operations, factoring); Algebraic equations and inequalities of the first and second degree; Systems of linear equations; Geometry; Segments and angles; their measurement and properties; Lines and planes; Notable geometric loci; Properties of main plane geometric figures and their lengths and areas; Properties of main solid geometric figures and their volumes and surface areas; Analytical and functional geometry; Cartesian coordinates; Concept of function; Equations of lines and simple geometric loci; Graphs and properties of elementary functions; Calculations using logarithms; Trigonometry; Graphs and properties of sine, cosine, and tangent functions; The main trigonometric formulas; Relationships between elements of a triangle.
The specified knowledge is verified through a national test (non-selective) conducted by CISIA. Students who demonstrate significant gaps in this test regarding the knowledge considered essential for admission are assigned Additional Training Obligations (OFA) to be verified and recovered within the first year of the course.
Enrolled students must also possess certification attesting to a knowledge of the English language at least at the B1 autonomy level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Admission to the program for foreign students is regulated by the procedures established by the Ministry of University and Research: http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri. These regulations also establish verification methods for knowledge of the Italian language where such verification is required and the conditions for exemption.
