Notarial law comprises – in a nutshell – a combination of corporate law, registered property law, family (property) law and the associated tax law. In addition to the classic notarial subjects such as inheritance law and notary regulations, the master's program focuses on further deepening and broadening of tax law, corporate law and private international law. Completion of this master's degree is a requirement to be able to work in the notarial profession. But also if you want to work with notarial law in a different role, for example in the legal profession, the judiciary, business or estate planning, or if you are interested in the scientific side of notarial law, this master's program is the right choice.
The master's program establishes the necessary connection between theory and practice. You will receive a thorough academic deepening and broadening of notarial law. And insight into the existing, sometimes complex legal figures in the notarial legal practice and in the notarial legal practice itself. Your legal and academic skills will be further developed and strengthened. You learn to analyse, present in writing and orally and conduct independent research. The combination of a coherent private law education and the development of academic and practical skills makes notarial law students desirable to employers. Ambitious and excellent students have the option (if there is sufficient interest) to follow the Masterclass Notarial Law following the master's programme.
Do you feel attracted to private law and in particular the notarial areas of law, and do you also want more insight into the role that the notary has within the law? Then opt for the master's program in Notarial Law in Utrecht.
