The BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Education course will provide students with extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in chemistry. On successful completion of the course students will have met the Standard for Provisional Registration, and thus be eligible to apply for provisional registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and entry to the Teacher Induction Scheme as a secondary school teacher of Chemistry with Science. New Scottish/UK/EU graduates of this course are guaranteed a one-year induction post that enables completion of probation and achievement of the standard required for full registration with the GTCS.
