The BSc Mental Health Nursing focuses on the importance of relationships between nurses, service users, families and others in the field on mental health. Understanding what factors contribute to psychological or neurological health issues is one of the most complex and fascinating fields of healthcare. A mental health nurse can start one’s career working independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team to treat complex health and mental health needs, with a recovery-focused approach. This course is 50% work-based learning, so there will be a significant amount of time applying knowledge in lectures into practice in a real-life clinical environment. Graduate of this course will achieve registration as a Registered Nurse in mental health with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
