The BA Community Education is suitable for those already
involved or interested in working with people in communities to facilitate
their critical and social education. This course is aimed at current or
aspiring community education practitioners. Community educators work with
people of all ages and abilities to facilitate individual and social change
that enhances the chances for making a good life. The programme is underpinned
by theories and practices in equality and social justice, human flourishing,
engagement and participation. This course is approved by the Community Learning
and Development Standards Council for Scotland and is recognised as a lead
practitioner qualification.
