The BSc Computer Games Technology is designed in collaboration with the UK's top computer games companies.   This top-up course is designed for suitably qualified international students – holds PlayStation® First status – and offers the opportunity of a year's paid sandwich placement in the UK or abroad, where students can gain invaluable experience in the computer games sector. Many UWS graduates have secured positions as games developers or programmers with the sector’s biggest companies. Graduates also make use of their graphics and C++ skills outside of gaming. This course is accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS) as fully meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered IT Professional and, on behalf of the Engineering Council, as fully meeting the academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Part-time students must complete their studies within 6 years to gain BCS recognition. This course is also accredited by Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries in the UK.
