Prerequisites

  • SPM / O-Level with Pre-U or Foundation: Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 5 credits with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and History in SPM for entry with pre-university or foundation qualification. (Except for UEC).
  • SPM / O-Level with Diploma: Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 3 credits with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and History in SPM for entry with Diploma qualification.
  • Pass Visual Test: (Taylor’s Foundation in Design, Diploma in Design and Foundation in Natural & Built Environments are exempted from the Entrance Test)
  • Portfolio Assessment: Students without a pass in SPM or equivalent Art subject must pass the Visual Aptitude Test (VAT) or Drawing Test or have a design portfolio review.

Entry Pathway

  • Taylor’s Foundation in Design (FID): Pass with min. CGPA 2.00
  • Taylor’s Foundation in Natural and Built Environments (FNBE): Pass with min. CGPA 2.00
  • Other Taylor's Foundation: Pass with min. CGPA 2.00
  • Taylor’s Diploma in Interior Design (DID): Pass with min. CGPA 2.00
  • Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM): CC
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Pass with min. 5Bs
  • A Levels: Min. grades DD
  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM)/SACE International: Min. ATAR 60
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Min. average of 55% in 6 subjects
  • MUFY: 50%
  • Foundation and Diploma from other institutions recognised by Malaysian Government: Min. CGPA 2.00
  • MOE Matriculation: Min. CGPA 2.00
  • DKM/DKLM/DVM: A pass in DKM/DKLM/DVM in suitable fields with a min. CGPA of 2.50 subject to Senate approval (Note: The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme); OR A pass in DKM / DLKM / DVM with a min. CGPA of 2.00 and at least have two (2) years working experience in a related discipline.
  • Other Qualifications: Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • MUET/IELTS/TOEFL/UEC: Pass English
  • Taylor's EET: Overall Score 4.0
  • Taylor's IEN: Level 2 - Grade C
  • Pre-U/Diploma: Completed Pre-U/Diploma that was conducted in English
