This Bachelor of Accounting & Finance (Honours) programme is designed to equip students with an in depth understanding in all areas of accounting and finance, including financial accounting, assurance, taxation, corporate finance and financial management. Graduates will be able to operate independently in a business environment, in addition to providing and analysing reports and financial statements. Students who plan to pursue a long-term career in accounting are advised to obtain a professional qualification after graduation. Graduates will be eligible to receive accreditation and/or exemptions from recognised professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, CTiM, MICPA-CAANZ, MIA. Prerequisites

  • SPM/ O-Level with Pre-U/ Foundation: Pass SPM/ O-Level or equivalent to 5 credits (including a pass in Mathematics and English) for an entry with pre-university/ foundation qualification (except for UEC).
  • SPM / O-Level with Diploma: Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 3 credits for entry with Diploma qualification.

Entry Pathway

  • Taylor's Foundation: Pass any Taylor's Foundation in Accounting or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Taylor's Diploma: Pass any Taylor's Diploma in Accounting or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM): Min. Grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in any two subjects
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Pass with min. 5Bs with a maximum 26 points including Mathematics
  • A Levels: Min. DD or equivalent of 120 points or more
  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / SACE International: Minimum ATAR 60
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Minimum average of 55% in 6 subjects
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Min. 26 points and above in 6 subjects
  • Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY): Overall 60%
  • Other Equivalent Qualifications: Pass Business Foundation from other accredited institutions with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; OR Pass a Diploma in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; OR Other foundation, matriculation, high school certificates /diploma (Year 12) from other accredited institutions with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Application via APEL A is allowed.
