This Doctoral Program is articulated around the main lines of research that are developed in the Faculty of Canon Law on issues such as: canon law in the face of new ecclesiastical and social realities; marriage and canonical matrimonial causes; processes in the Church; comparative concordat law, or the legal framework of relations between the Catholic Church and the Spanish State.
The doctorate is the academic degree that qualifies, and is required, for the performance of certain ecclesiastical offices. Veritatis gaudium 50
In order to obtain a doctorate, it is necessary to carry out specific training activities foreseen in the doctoral program, which will be reviewed by the tutor and thesis supervisor, and evaluated each year by the program's academic committee, and to develop a research plan.
