The program meets the growing global demand for legal specialization in the area of maritime law, as well as specialization in the field of maritime business, globally addressing the group of companies that make up this activity. The importance of transport in international trade is well known to all. Maritime transport, after terrestrial, is the most used modality in the transport of goods. The European Union has recommended the promotion of maritime transport through Short Sea Shipping (SSS) compared to other modes of transport such as roads, due to the congestion of European highways and the high level of pollution that this produces.

Students carry out professional practices throughout the course, for which reason they carry out interviews in companies, to find out if their profile and learning needs are in line with the company. They can also add their profile to BlueUpTalent, a sector-specific talent management service, so that students can access the job market and alumni can also further their professional development.
