The dual program formed by the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and the Master Degree in Smart Grids, taught by Strathclyde University and Comillas ICAI in close collaboration with Iberdrola, combines industry and academia to provide students with a generic training in industrial engineering, which is completed with a specialisation in smart grids, one of the revolutions in the energy sector.

The digitalisation process that is taking place in the electricity grid needs engineers capable of leading it. Students who successfully complete the master's degree will have a detailed understanding of the operation and planning of electricity grids under the new paradigm.

One of the attractions of the program is its internationalisation.

Students will spend one semester in Spain and one semester in Scotland; in addition, they will carry out internships (from May to August) in leading companies such as Iberdrola, Scottish Power Energy Networks (Glasgow), Minsait, Naturgy and Gridespertise.
