The Bachelor of Theology (S.T.L.) is a postgraduate study (Master of Theology), which presupposes the knowledge and skills acquired in previous studies (Bachelor of Theology; Master in Divinity and equivalent). The student concentrates his or her interest on a narrower field of study within the various areas of Catholic theology. It is structured in a two-year cyclical plan.
The Bachelor's Degree in Theology at Comillas enables students to deal competently with any subject related to their speciality. It is structured as an initiation to research, in each of the fields of attention, according to the theological methodology required by each area. Special attention is paid to a deepening of Catholic doctrine, taken from Sacred Scripture and tradition, in order to contribute to presenting the mystery of Christ with ever greater clarity, while taking into account the great contemporary cultural movements. These postgraduate studies in Theology pay special attention to frontier, interdisciplinary and current issues, without forgetting the richness of Christian Tradition.
It offers four specialisations: Dogmatic-Fundamental Theology, Sacred Scripture, Moral and Pastoral Theology and Spiritual Theology.

Admission Requirements
Those who have obtained a university degree in theological studies, lasting no less than four years, or those who have passed the six-year philosophical-theological course at a seminary or higher educational institution may be admitted to the second cycle after passing the corresponding entrance exam on a curriculum approved by the Faculty Board. Passing this examination does not entitle the holder to a degree.
Foreign students who have not studied in Spanish and wish to begin the degree course must accredit their language level by means of the DELE B2 Diploma (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera), awarded by the Instituto Cervantes or another equivalent language institute.
Students who do not have the required DELE must take a language test, offered by the Faculty of Theology at the beginning of the academic year through the University's Institute of Modern Languages.
