The Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies, Agri-Food Industry Specialty at Comillas Pontifical University is a general engineering programme that incorporates a specialisation in technologies and processes in the agri-food sector, aligned with the food industry's needs for automation, digitalisation and energy sustainability. Building on a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, electronics, mechanics, energy and industrial organisation, the pathway adds specific training in the fundamentals of agri-food engineering, food process technology, process engineering and agro-industrial machinery, agri-food construction and facilities, food quality and safety, automation and digitisation in the agri-food industry, and co-product and waste management. The teaching methodology is based on an active approach, with intensive use of laboratories, simulation and engineering software, teamwork and projects based on real industry problems. The agri-food track strengthens connections with companies in the sector through technical visits, external internships and final degree projects focused on challenges in automation, digitalisation and sustainability in the food value chain, within the framework of quality and academic support characteristic of Comillas.
