You will emerge with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in renewable energy, specialising in renewable power enhanced by fundamental knowledge in managing engineering projects.

Complete an industry project to develop a renewable energy solution which addresses an industry problem. You will plan, execute, and complete a project delivering several products relevant to an industry client. You’ll work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver a sophisticated, culturally responsible professional engineering solution.

In Master of Renewable Energy with Project Management you will also undertake a supervised research project over two semesters where you will manage and explain your findings and what they contribute to the renewable energy field.

Entry requirements

Renewable Power major

You must have:

  • A recognised completed four-year full-time (or equivalent) engineering degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.00 (on QUT’s 7 point scale);or 
  • A recognised completed three-year full-time (or equivalent) engineering degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 2.00 years full-time (or equivalent) of professional experience in electrical power engineering.
