A bachelor's degree in "Melioration Engineering" is prepared and a master's degree in "Hydrotechnical Construction" and "Construction and Operation of Land Reclamation Engineering Systems" is carried out.
Specialists in the field of "Melioration Engineering" are trained in the design, construction, operation and research of hydraulic structures built to use the water resources of rivers and other water sources. Students majoring in this field are the design of reservoirs, the use of hydropower, the creation of a system of hydropower facilities (construction of hydroelectric power plants), the construction of water transport facilities (shipping lanes and sluices, ship lifts, shipbuilding and fishing ports) created hydrotechnical installations and complex of hydrotechnical installations created for protection against flood waters, etc. taught. Graduates of "Melioration Engineering" specialize in complex land reclamation measures for the efficient use of arable land: design and construction of irrigation and collector-drainage systems, design and construction of irrigation systems in various constructions in accordance with modern requirements; studies the impact on the environment and is trained as a broad-profile specialist.
