The Transportation Engineering master’s programme is designed to develop advanced scientific and professional competencies in the planning, design, organization, operation, and optimization of transportation systems. The programme focuses on the systematic analysis of transport processes and the application of engineering solutions to complex and multi-parameter technical problems.
The curriculum covers the organization of vehicle operation, efficient management of transportation infrastructure, and the development of safe and effective traffic systems. Particular emphasis is placed on the integration of modern digital and innovative technologies in transport planning and management.
The programme adopts a system-based approach to transportation systems, examining the functional interaction between the key components of the driver–vehicle–road–environment system. Analytical tools such as statistical analysis, modelling, forecasting, risk assessment, decision-making methods, and optimization algorithms are widely applied.
Key scientific and practical areas of the programme include traffic flow management, traffic organization and safety, development of efficient transport and logistics systems, and reduction of operational costs. In addition, the programme emphasizes the implementation of innovative solutions and intelligent transport systems (ITS) aimed at improving the sustainability and safety of modern transport environments.
The programme also promotes responsible engineering practice by integrating principles of ethical conduct, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. As a result, the programme prepares graduates to contribute to strategic planning, technical management, and system optimization within modern transportation sectors.
