The Study Plan of the Master of Administration in Management and Development of Education (MAGDE) of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Section of the Higher School of Commerce and Administration (ESCA) Santo Tomás Unit of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) includes a dynamic set of academic and administrative elements that correspond to their constant updating in order to lead to the development of professionalization in directors and project leaders of institutions and educational systems with the skills of strategic management in the framework of knowledge societies through the academic interaction of collaborative work with high-performance interdisciplinary teams. Its purpose is to satisfy the demands of the current national context that are reflected in the paradigm shift of educational systems and professional and postgraduate training in order to achieve compliance with the parameters, criteria and indicators established by the National Science Council. and Technology (CONACYT) for scientific-practical programs (type “A”). It arises from a curricular restructuring in 2007 which recovers three institutional experiences of training directors and leaders of educational systems - carried out in the last 40 years and adopts a professional orientation of a scientific-practical nature. In 2013, in 2016 and in 2019, Researchers of the program carried out studies of relevance and feasibility that include analysis of the educational offer of programs similar to MAGDE, state of the art, as well as follow-up studies of graduates that comprise the years 2009 to 2019. From the data obtained In these studies, the mission, the objectives, the entry and exit profiles (by competencies) were articulated and, finally, two Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge (LGAC) with their respective sub-lines were structured. Likewise, the current Curriculum was redesigned in which the propaedeutic semester allows the applicant to take the MAGDE to integrate knowledge, skills, attitudes and values ​​related to both the management and training of managers, as well as educational models and innovation.
