People who are blind or who have low vision may experience social, emotional, developmental, educational and health issues that impact their quality of life. With the support of their families, the community and specialist practitioners, and with access to assistive technology, braille, optical and mobility aids, people with blindness or low vision can lead fulfilling lives and have productive careers.  The Education: Blindness/Low Vision specialisation will qualify you as a teacher of students with blindness or low vision. You’ll learn how to help students gain the skills they need to enjoy a satisfying career that looks beyond their disability, as well as achieve their personal goals. Completing this specialisation will enable you to register with the South Pacific Educators of Vision Impaired (SPEVI). Once registered, you can apply to join the Better Start Early Intervention Service Provider Panel and become a service provider under the NDIS.
