Students earn a 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification in their sophomore year and a 40-hour OSHA-Haxardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response certification in the senior seminar course. Opportunities to conduct research alongside faculty are available. In addition to working as environmental and human biologists, graduates are prepared to attend professional schools in the health sciences, and for medical, dental, or pharmacy school.
